January is a 6-year-old redbone coonhound mix who came to the Humane Society of Missouri’s Maryland Heights shelter in October from an overwhelmed shelter in North Carolina during Hurricane Helene. January is good on a leash and is ready for the next chapter of her life. She would love a family that can give her some stability and show her the love she deserves.

Miss Evelyn is a 25-year-old grade horse who came to Longmeadow Rescue Ranch in April when her previous owners could not give her the proper care she deserved. It took Miss Evelyn a long time to settle into life at Longmeadow, but she became more comfortable being handled over time. Longmeadow’s trainer believes she will need a refresher from a patient, professional trainer. She appreciates positive reinforcement and picks up on tasks very quickly.
