Missouri issued 57 cannabis “microbusiness” licenses to entrepreneurs this week after the state’s second round of random lottery-style drawings.
The state licensed seven additional dispensaries and eight wholesale cultivators in Ƶ area congressional districts. The state Department of Health and Senior Services reported that they saw more than 2,000 applicants for the 57 available licenses.
This is the second of three rounds mandated by the amendment voters approved in 2022 that made recreational cannabis legal in Missouri. Missouri issued 48 microbusiness licenses last fall. The third and final round will be drawn in 2025.
