A political leadership workshop for Black women is coming soon to north 狐狸视频.
鈥淲hen Black Women Lead,鈥澛爏ponsored by Heartland Action of Missouri, it聽is set for 1 to 3 p.m. June 2 at New Sunny Mount Baptist Church, 4700 West Florissant Avenue.
Along with the workshopping, there seems to be a good chance that some politicking might occur 鈥 given that the featured guests are all Democrats up this year for either reelection or election.
Topping the list is state Sen. Karla May, D-狐狸视频, who is vying to run in November against GOP U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley.
May, who has to leave the Missouri Senate in 2027 because of term limits, first has to defeat front-runner Lucas Kunce and three others in the Aug. 6 Democratic primary.
Another guest is state Sen. Angela Mosley, of Florissant, who is running for a second term in the 13th Senate District.

Her primary opponent, state Rep. Chantelle Nickson-Clark, also said she will attend the event.
The following incumbent state representatives also have confirmed their attendance: Kimberly-Ann Collins of 狐狸视频; LaKeySha Frazier-Bosley of 狐狸视频; Yolanda Fountain Henderson of Jennings; and Marlene Terry of north 狐狸视频 County.
Terry is the only one of the four incumbents who has an opponent in the August primary; she faces Tommie Pierson Sr., who previously had been a state representative and Bellefontaine Neighbors mayor.
Also, three candidates hoping to win their first terms in the Missouri House are scheduled to attend: Jamie Cox Antwi, Janay Mosley and Tonya Rush.
