Judging by its U.S. senators, Missouri likes Donald Trump 鈥 a lot.
Last week, after Trump became the first president to be convicted of crimes after leaving office, a group of conservative Republican senators signed an opposition petition.
Included on the list of 10 U.S. senators were both Josh Hawley and Eric Schmitt, the Republican pair from the Show-Me sector.
How Trump-ish is that? Consider that while there are 22 states that have two Republican senators, Missouri was the only one with both of its upper-chamber types on the list.
Specifically, the list-signers promise to oppose Democratic initiatives in the Senate in three specific areas: non-security spending bills or legislation; political and judicial appointees; and expedited consideration of legislation not related to Americans鈥 safety, .

The ramrod of the effort, U.S. Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, has said he wants to recruit more senators to the group, which includes two GOP senators from Missouri border states: Roger Marshall of Kansas and Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee.
