ST. LOUIS — Police say a 17-year-old boy was shot and killed early Sunday morning near Gravois Park, and they identified another 16-year-old boy as the suspect.
The boy who died was Iarvera Hale, of the 1400 block of Stonebury Court in Florissant, police said. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
The 16-year-old was not identified. He was shot in the leg, according to police, and is in stable condition at an area hospital.
Officers responded to the shooting at 3:34 a.m. near the intersection of Compton Avenue and Potomac Street at the northeast corner of the park, police reports show.
