“Friends this is not CRT. This is decency,†says Miranda Bell, a parent of two sons in the Francis Howell school district, as she speaks to the Francis Howell School on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2024, addressing racial slurs that she and her children have experienced in the district. Bell called on the school board to strengthen its protections for students of color against racial bullying; for specific language in the bullying policy to disavow all hate speech, slurs, and racial taunts; and for disciplinary action for those who violate it.
