JEFFERSON CITY聽鈥 An unsuccessful candidate for 狐狸视频 alderman has been fined $1,820 for violating state campaign finance rules.
In a Monday decision, the Missouri Ethics Commission determined that Carla 鈥淐offee鈥 Wright failed to report at least two campaign contributions and one expenditure and failed to state who paid for printed material related to her campaign.
Wright, a community activist, made an unsuccessful bid for 11th Ward alderman against incumbent Laura Keys.
Under terms of the fine, Wright can pay $272 and forgo the remainder of the penalty if she does not commit any additional violations over the next two years.

Wright鈥檚 campaign was dogged by accusations of legal shortcomings.
Keys sued Wright, alleging she did not live in the new ward for a year before the election and said Wright had not paid city taxes and fees, which, if proven, would render her ineligible for office.
Keys won the March primary with nearly 70% of the vote. The lawsuit was dismissed in April.
The 11th Ward runs from Midtown to O鈥橣allon Park on the North Side.
聽In 2022, Wright ran in the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate, placing fourth with 4% of the vote.
