ST. LOUIS 鈥 Forecasters expect a mix of snow and rain to hit the region Wednesday through Thursday morning.
A low pressure system from the northwest will bring rain Wednesday morning, turning to a mix of snow and rain by the evening, and continuing into Thursday morning.
But warmer temperatures 鈥 Wednesday will see a high of 39 and a low of 33 at night 鈥 are expected to prevent travel problems, according to the National Weather Service in 狐狸视频.
鈥淚t鈥檚 hard to say as far as how much we may get at this time because of the warmer temperatures and warmer ground temperatures,鈥 said meteorologist Melissa Byrd.
Most of the region will see just a trace of snow. The western portion of the metro area could see a bit more, perhaps up to an inch, said meteorologist Fred Glass, also of the weather service鈥檚 local office.

鈥淥therwise the further east you go, the chance of accumulating snow looks pretty darn low,鈥 Glass said.
Any accumulation would most likely happen on elevated or grassy surfaces.
Snow can happen even when temperatures on the ground are above freezing, Glass said. It can be 鈥減lenty colder鈥 above the Earth鈥檚 surface, he said.
Snowflakes can form above ground but then melt when they meet warmer temperatures lower down.
Missouri Department of Transportation officials were monitoring the weather, said spokesman Andrew Gates.
