ºüÀêÊÓƵ County voters can now decide if they want to implement the plan through a ballot initiative.
“Go ahead, put it on the ballot, and I’m sure it’ll pass,†said Maureen Flint, a 79-year-old resident of unincorporated south ºüÀêÊÓƵ County.
The political timing is better for the plan to give senior homeowners a break on property taxes because the ºüÀêÊÓƵ County Council is also considering a tax break for a giant aerospace corporation, Councilman Dennis Hancock said.
