Video: Walls go up on tiny homes in Veterans Community Project

  • 0

Carpenters from the Mid-America Apprentice & Training Program stand up the walls on one of the first tiny homes that are being built on 3.5 acres of land in the 1500 block of N. Grand Boulevard on Thursday, June 16, 2022. The Veterans Community Project is building 50 homes on the site to help veterans experiencing homelessness. The transitional housing development will also provide wrap-around services to support veterans' health, financial stability, education and training. An on-site outreach center will also be open to help veterans who walk-in seeking support. Veterans Community Project expects to have people moving into the homes by the late fall of 2022 when the first 20 of the 50 homes will be completed. Photo by David Carson, dcarson@post-dispatch.com
