The NFL regular season begins this week, which means time is running out to look over 2025 Super Bowl odds and place futures bets before the season kicks off Thursday.
Below, we detail the odds board and make or early Super Bowl 59 predictions based on where the odds currently stand:
2025 Super Bowl odds: Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers favored
The  unsurprisingly lead the way at the top of the Super Bowl odds board:
San Francisco was already stockpiled with talent before they held on to Brandon Aiyuk, plus the 49ers took Kansas City to overtime of the Super Bowl. Clearly, those two teams are each other's biggest threat.Â
The Baltimore Ravens (+1000) and the Detroit Lions (+1200), the reigning conference runner-ups, are third and fourth in odds. The Ravens made a splash by signing running back Derrick Henry, while the Lions invested heavily in mending their weak pass defense.
The third tier of contenders is crowded with teams that have shown elite upside: the Cincinnati Bengals (+1300), Philadelphia Eagles (+1400), Buffalo Bills (+1600), Houston Texans (+1600), Green Bay Packers (+1800) and Dallas Cowboys (+1900) and Aaron Rodgers' New York Jets (+1900).Â
The additions of wide receivers Marquise “Hollywood†Brown and rookie Xavier Worthy will allow Patrick Mahomes to air the ball out like he did in the first few years of his career. The offensive line is solid, and Andy Reid is arguably the best coach in the league when it comes to scheming up intricate offensive game plans. Â
Defensively, the Chiefs ranked second in points, yards and sacks a year ago. They lost L’Jarius Sneed but have a track record of curating and developing elite secondary talent. They’ll also get Nick Bolton back and fully healthy sitting behind a recently paid Chris Jones.
The Chiefs made the AFC Championship Game every year Mahomes has been a starter and won 50% of possible Super Bowls. Don’t make the mistake of doubting them.
Joe Burrow was out of sight and out of mind last year, but he’s still the second- (or, at worst, third-) best quarterback in the league. An offseason of rest and relaxation will do him good as returns from a wrist injury.
The Bengals bolstered their offensive line in recent years and have one of the league’s best one-two punches at wideout with Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. Their defensive front has also proven to be disruptive, while the secondary added seven interceptions in the form of safety Geno Stone (formerly of the Ravens).
Cincy needs to keep Burrow upright to have a chance, but they already beat the Chiefs in an AFC Championship Game and are explosive enough to cause problems for the top teams in both conferences.Â
We know what you're thinking … “There’s no way you’re serious, right?â€
We’re dead serious — there’s no true long shot on the board with better value than the Bears.
Chi-town’s finest went 7-6 after a woeful 0-4 start to the year despite enduring some of the worst quarterback play in the league. They also gave up just 17.8 points per game in nine games after their trade for Montez Sweat, an average that would have ranked third in the NFL if applied to the entire season.
Caleb Williams is a rookie, but he’s stepping into the best situation (from a weapons perspective) a rookie has ever had. He’s also a generational prospect who has been likened to Mahomes, and the NFC is a fairly thin conference overall.Â
This is by no means should be the expectation, but it’s on the board of possibilities — and that makes it valuable.
