The Democrats should be sounding the alarm about Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance. In fact, everyone should be alarmed about Vance, because if Donald Trump wins the 2024 presidential election, Vance, a totally unqualified politician with a profoundly misogynistic and anti-immigrant attitude, would be a heartbeat away from becoming President.
Trump — who is 78 years old, overweight, under-exercised and has a fondness for fried foods — may not have that many heartbeats left. A stroke or a heart attack would put Vance in the Oval Office. That would be awful.
Vance has never run a successful business, thinks half of all American citizens should be confined to child-bearing as their major purpose in life, and is willing to “create†whatever false stories he deems necessary to manipulate people into becoming enraged over fictional situations to serve his purpose.

Like Trump, Vance’s rallies and news conferences have little relevance to truth or fact. His only purpose is to get elected so he can carry out the policies of the billionaires who won his Senate race for him. Vance has accomplished little on his own. Is that the resume of a solid candidate for someone who could end up as president?
Trump has done some awful things, but sticking us with Vance might be the worst yet.
